Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year, JWLA Families and Community!

 

It is my absolute pleasure to introduce myself as the new principal of Jesse White Learning Academy! With over 25 years of experience in education, as a classroom teacher, gifted enrichment specialist, and assistant principal. I have seen firsthand the power of strong schools working hand-in-hand with families and the community.

From my very first visit to JWLA, I could feel the warmth, pride, and commitment that make this school so special. Our students are surrounded by dedicated educators, supportive families, and a community that believes in their potential. I am honored to now be part of that family.

This school year, we will focus on fostering a safe, nurturing, and challenging learning environment where every child can thrive. But we cannot do it alone; your involvement, encouragement, and partnership will be the key to our shared success. Whether you are helping with homework, volunteering at events, cheering from the stands, or simply asking your child about their day, you are making a difference.

Our District theme this year is BRIDGING NOW TO NEXT!

I believe that together, we can create opportunities for our students that will inspire them, challenge them, and prepare them for a bright future. I can’t wait to meet each of you at arrival, dismissal, community events, or in the neighborhood and to hear your hopes and dreams for our children.
