To the teachers, thank you for your guidance, support, and inspiration. Your dedication to educating and empowering students makes events like this possible, and your leadership is an invaluable part of our community.

From solving tough problems to working together as a team, you showed what it means to tackle challenges with confidence and determination.

Shoe Design Contest/ Haitian Museum Field Trip

The winners (and runner-ups) all received a field trip to the Haitian American Museum of Chicago, which included a fully paid-for museum tour, an interactive Haitian drum workshop, and a fully catered meal by a Haitian chef.

The winners (and runner-ups) all received a field trip to the Haitian American Museum of Chicago, which included a fully paid-for museum tour, an interactive Haitian drum workshop, and a fully catered meal by a Haitian chef. 

The winners also received customized sneakers based on their designs, which were displayed for the day at the museum and kept on a temporary digital display.

Pod B Field Trip to Shedd Aquarium

Our 1st and 2nd-grade students explored the different aquatic environments of the Shedd Aquarium. Students enjoyed the hands-on experience of touching stingrays, starfish, and other sea creatures in designated touch tanks.

A day when our bright scholars showcased their unique skills and love for science.

Below are the requirements scholars had to follow:

  1. Introduction. This is where you describe the purpose for doing your science fair project or invention
  2. Problem Statement. Identify the problem you solved or the hypothesis you investigated
  3. Procedures
  4. Results
  5. Conclusions

The overall winners will compete in the district science fair:

Ca'Lia Harding (8th grade) - 1st place

Tyson Hicks (5th grade) - 2nd place

Brianna Jimenez (8th grade) - 3rd place
